Hide your private photos in a secret album.
Vault keeps your photos, videos, notes and browsing out of sight, locked with Face ID or your own passcode. If someone borrows your phone, there's nothing to find.
- Face ID & passcode
- No ads, no account
- iCloud sync
- iPhone & iPad
Photos, videos, notes and browsing. All private.
Three private spaces in one app, each behind your lock.
Secret photo album
Import photos and videos from your library in seconds, or shoot them with Vault's built-in camera. Sort them into private albums and view them in the app, even offline. None of them show up in the Photos app.
Private notes
Write down what you'd never put in a regular notes app. Your notes sit behind the same lock as your photos.
Private browser
A browser separate from Safari: your tabs and bookmarks stay inside Vault. Touch and hold a photo or video on a web page to save it to your vault. Its search suggestions work without cookies.
A calculator on the outside. A secret vault on the inside.
If you want, Vault can pass for an ordinary calculator. It really calculates, and you type your passcode as a sum: to anyone watching, it's just math.
- A real, working calculator. Nothing gives it away.
- Your passcode looks like an ordinary calculation.
- Turn it on or off anytime in Vault's settings.
Try the secret code: 1 2 3 4 =
Extra protection for the tough moments.
When hiding isn't enough: a decoy, an emergency lock and a record of every intrusion attempt.
Decoy profile
A second passcode opens a fake vault with its own content. If you're ever forced to open Vault, show the decoy: your real photos stay hidden.
Emergency shortcuts
Flip your phone face down, tap the screen four times or shake it: Vault instantly switches to the decoy, locks or closes, as you choose.
Intrusion reports
See every failed unlock attempt with the date, the time and the code entered, plus a front-camera photo if you turn the option on.
iCloud sync
Sync your vault between your iPhone and iPad through your own iCloud account, and switch phones without losing a thing.
Alternate app icons
Choose from 12 alternate home-screen icons, including calculator, camera and files designs.
Your privacy is not for sale.
No ads. No account. Your photos and videos stay on your device or in your own iCloud account: Vault Studio never has access to them.
Stays with you
Your content lives on your device, or in your own iCloud account if you turn on sync. It is never sent to our servers.
Built on iCloud
Sync goes through your own iCloud account. Notes, bookmarks and intrusion reports are end-to-end encrypted; photos and videos get your iCloud protection, end-to-end with Advanced Data Protection.
No ads, no sign-up
No account, no email, no ad tracking. Install it and your vault is ready.
Your lock, your rules
Face ID or a 4-digit code separate from your phone's. Vault locks again every time you leave it.
Your secret album, ready in a minute.

Know before you install.
Vault is an iPhone and iPad app that hides your private photos, videos and notes in a secret album locked with your own 4-digit code or Face ID. It also includes a private browser. On the App Store, it's listed as Photo Vault, published by Vault Studio.
Install Vault and choose your code. Tap import and pick the photos and videos you want to hide from your library: they're added to a private album that only opens with your code or Face ID. Vault then offers to delete the originals from the Photos app. Deleted photos go to the Photos app's Recently Deleted album, so empty it too if you don't want copies left there.
Yes. Vault is free to download, and the free version lets you hide photos, videos and notes and use the private browser, with a limited number of albums and items. Vault Premium removes those limits and adds the decoy profile, emergency shortcuts, intrusion reports, trash recovery, alternate icons and iCloud sync.
In the Photos app, the Hidden album is listed by name under Utilities, and Apple shows it by default: anyone who opens your Photos can see that you're hiding something. Vault's albums appear nowhere in Photos, so nobody can even suspect they exist. They open with a code of Vault's own, separate from your phone's, and Vault adds private notes, a private browser, an optional calculator disguise and, with Premium, a decoy profile, intrusion reports and emergency shortcuts.
No. Your photos, videos and notes stay on your device, or in your own iCloud account if you turn on sync. They're never sent to Vault Studio's servers, which only handle the subscription catalog and purchase checks.
Much more than a hidden album.
Decoy profile, emergency shortcuts, intrusion reports and iCloud sync between your iPhone and iPad.
